| "I organised and attended a family wedding in Franshoek for the weekend. I booked a room at Belle Fleur for 2 nights, one month in advance and paid a deposit. When I arrived to book in I was told that I had to sleep at another guest house down the road for the night as the owner had given my room to guests who had decided to stay another night. So I had to book in to one place that night, book out the next day and then book in at Belle Fleur the second night. I had no option because I was organising the wedding and had no time to find other accommodation. The owner, who can barely speak english, did not apologise or offer any compensation for the inconvenience. The breakfast was terrible, toast and melrose processesd cheese squares, disgusting. Ther entire weekend was spoilt for me by this appalling service. I cannot recommend this place." About the city; "Franschoek is well worth a visit." | |
