| "In our opinion, 5 of us, for 5 nights we found this accommodation to be a cut above many so called first class hotels. The breakfasts were a work of art with more than enough to satisfy the healthiest of appetites. The bedrooms were very roomy, the beds comfortable and the decor very tasteful. The chocolates on the pillow were a very nice touch as was the carafe of Muscatel replenished each day. The owners were very welcoming and could not do enough for us to make our stay pleasant and memorable. " About the city; "Surrounded by mountains, it would be difficult to find a more pleasant setting to spend a few days relaxing. It had all the modern conveniences one could hope for and yet the pace of life seemed to be that of the 1950s. Prestons restaurant only 30 seconds walk from Airlies was second to none. The food was excellent and the staff , like everyone else we met in Montagu, were very accommodating. We will be recommending anyone we know visiting South Africa to visit Montagu if they get the chance. It was delightful. " | |
