'Blenheim Lodge . . . panoramic lake views, peace and tranquillity, nestled against 50 acres of beautiful woodlands in the heart of the English Lake District.' Built in 1868, Blenheim Lodge is reminiscent of gracious residences of yesteryear with individually appointed bedrooms, many decorated in Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings and furnished with antique furniture. Our non-smoking guest house is quietly situated in an elevated position at the end of a cul-de-sac, in a peaceful and tranquil location set against woodlands with panoramic lake and mountain views, ideal for a relaxing break. For breakfast, we use quality local produce, including handmade sausages and bacon. Milk and eggs are delivered fresh from the local dairy each morning and we also offer a choice of fresh-from-the-oven croissants served with equally delectable muffins, among other vegetarian options. We are walker, biker, cyclist and fisherman friendly, with outside taps for boots (and fish!) and a drying room for damp gear. Walkers will find us convenient for the Dales Way, which practically ends in our backyard. We offer 2 free WADAA fishing permits (first come first served) and can organise walks and sightseeing tours that pick up from our house. Bowness town, Lake Windermere and the country club where we offer guests free membership are just 5 minutes' walk. We have a private car park. At Blenheim Lodge, we believe in quality service with that extra personal touch!
