"Galissas is the best beach to swim at on the island of Syros bar none. The cleanest mediterranean water fills its bay. Beach cresent is over a km of sand, with changing facilities life guard and wc. Magical sunset over the bay is to die for. Be sure to visit the adjacent bay if you're a naturalist.Galissas has a generous selection of amenities,resturants,cafes, bars & a reular bus service. Hire transport is also available. As Syros is a small island you'll be anywhere you wish to go in no time.
This greek island is by far the cheapest way to holiday in the Cycladic Greek Islands. As it is at the hub to all other destinations for day trips.
Stay in Galissas for as your base a week or so while day tripping to the other near by islands for extra interest.
